You will need a rental car to get around once you're here, unless you've got someone meeting you. We are 3.5 hours north of NYC and the public transit options leave a lot to be desired!

We live just north of Gloversville, NY, a small town which borders another small town called Johnstown. A place to stay in either town would put you within 8-12 minutes by car. Mayfield and Broadalbin would be about 15 minutes. Amsterdam has more hotel and restaurant options, but you would be about 25 minutes away.
